Alum V2 - 1.33x anamorphic adapter
This is a pre-order for the second batch of the ALUM anamorphic adapter. ( limited run of 300 units)
The ALUM anamorphic is a small, experimental anamorphic adapter. It is designed with a 39mm filter thread. Works best with lenses between 35 and 50mm on full-frame (35mm format) or smaller.
For this second batch we have switched glass manufacturers and are using a moulding process to do part of the shaping, before grinding and polishing. This is process is slightly less costly, which means the second edition will have a simple anti reflective coating for the visible spectrum (400-700nm).
This change also allows us to switch to an all metal housing instead of using 3d printed parts. When purchasing the adapter you receive the .step files under a GNU GPL license. Your are then free to use the files as you wish, to make different casings, mounting adapter options and so on. You can share them with your friends, and share the changes you make.
